The water wheel is a replica, located on the north branch of the Muskoka River, below the Lower Falls in Bracebridge. It is placed there to emulate the grist mill of Alexander Bailey, built in 1864. The mill was capable of producing seventy-five barrels of flour a day. Destroyed by fire in 1909. Bracebridge, Ontario in the District of Muskoka.
